Artistic Advisor Dean Peterson, Operatic Bass

local resident, West Palm Beach opera star,  and vocal mentor, has over 35 years of international experience with many of the world’s leading conductors and operatic artists in performances in many world-renowned venues, including with the Metropolitan Opera, the West Palm Beach Opera and Opera Fusion.

Dean Peterson has performed leading and title roles on the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, Bejing Opera, Vienna Statsoper, Teatro Real, Chicago Lyric Opera, San Francisco Opera, The Royal Concert Hall, Maggio Musicale, and The Ravenna Festival, to name just a few. Having performed over seventy-five operas, Mr. Peterson is most closely associated with the title roles in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro with hundreds of performances worldwide. He has also had the honor having the role of Rucker Lattimore in Carlisle Floyd’s Cold Sassy Tree written for him. Cold Sassy Tree premiered at the Houston Grand Opera in 2000 and is still available in a highly-lauded commercial recording. With a Master of Arts in Vocal Performance, he now resides in West Palm Beach Florida and offers his experience teaching and mentoring operatic and concert singers in the Central and South Florida region, especially with the West Palm Beach opera and OperaFusion companies.
