Friday, Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m., First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, 33 Gleason Street, Delray Beach, Florida
Over the Moon Divas, has something for everyone. To celebrate our first outdoor concert, we will sing to the moon. In “Casta Diva” a druid high priestess sings an ode to the Goddess of the Moon from Bellini’s Norma. Robyn Marie Lamp, who was covering the role with Boston Lyric Opera in March, will perform it. Boston audiences didn’t get to hear her — the show closed after the dress rehearsal — but you will! Chelsea Lehnea, who made a splash in La bohème last season with Gulfshore Opera, will charm us with a slice of Americana, singing “Ain’t it a Pretty Night” from Carlyle Floyd’s Susannah. Along with the opera selections, Shanna Nolan and Birgit Fioravante will give us the “fusion” with songs by Cole Porter, Jason Robert Brown, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Irving Berlin.
This outdoor concert is free to the public, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Please bring your own beach chair and masks for socially distanced seating in the church parking lot.
Saturday, Nov. 28, 7:30 p.m., Sunshine Cathedral, 1480 S.W. Ninth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale
