OPERA FUSION’S 2020 SEASON

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Opera Fusion has had to postpone our planned 2020 Season.  When the pandemic subsides and arts organizations can safely bring staged productions and concerts to our South Florida communities, we will let you know what our programming will be, so we can once again fulfill our mission to truly celebrate the power of the voice!

Through a generous grant from the Rosemary Duffy Larson Trust Opera Fusion has launched an online virtual series called #SongStrong on InstagramFacebook and YouTube, showcasing a wide variety of musical styles with some of your favorite Opera Fusion singers.  #SongStrong offers you a front-row seat — at home — while theaters and concert venues are closed.  Our singers have been getting together — at a distance — to film a wide variety of musical performances: classical, American songbook, comedy, art song, opera, ensemble, and musical theater to express themselves. We hope you enjoy the performances!

THESE PERFORMANCES HAVE BEEN POSTPONED.

Join the Renée Greenberg Young Artists as Opera Fusion celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote!  On September 11th and 12th at the Sunshine Cathedral we will feature fully staged scenes from American operas, including The Mother of Us All by Virgil Thomson, The Ballad of Baby Doe by Douglas Moore, Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah, Harriett Tubman by Fort Lauderdale composer Michael Ross, plus scenes from Fidelio, Norma, and more. Tickets will go on sale online in August.

THIS PERFORMANCE IS ON HOLD

3-time Tony nominated star Joshua Henry joins some of your favorite Opera Fusion singers in an exciting program of songs from Broadway, the American Songbook, and maybe a few surprises!  October, 2020 at Bailey Auditorium—stay tuned for more details.

WE HOPE TO BE ABLE TO BRING THIS PRODUCTION BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Opera Fusion brings back this holiday classic to four South Florida locations.  Dates and locations to be announced soon.
